Grand Soleil 44 – Andiamo
The Grand Soleil 44, designed by Matteo Polli Yacht Design, represents a pinnacle in high-performance yacht design. With a focus on optimising for ORC and IRC racing, this 44-footer seamlessly combines racing prowess with the amenities expected of a cruising yacht. The interior offers a practical layout featuring an owner's stateroom forward with an ensuite head and shower, alongside two double staterooms aft, sharing a common head and shower. The galley, located amidships, boasts ample storage and preparation space, complemented by a U-shaped dinette seating eight, convertible into an additional berth. Adjacent, a settee doubles as an extra bunk, accompanied by a functional nav station.
The Designers tested four different hull shapes using CFD (computational fluid dynamics) technology originally developed for the Prada America’s Cup team. The final version offers a good performance to rating ratio for those who want to race, together with a low centre of gravity which also benefits cruisers.

Your organisation was excellent, taking care of all the details for us and the boat was in great condition and all as described. Very professional service and look forward to our next charter!
It was an amazing week!! Best ever! LV Yachting superb service and support, very impressive Eric the boat the Pro, were all amazing he is such a legend, amazing leader, race skipper, boat captain, coach and trainer …. and so much fun with a great sense of humour! Would sail with him again in a heart beat, the team want to charter with him, again just need to recover from the expense (we went out for quite a few dinners) and then discuss which regatta.
We had a fabulous time on the regatta and Eric was excellent. Eric knows his boat well and was an excellent coach – we agreed he would helm the starts as they were the most aggressive I have ever seen, the line was very short, in 9 races I think 7 had general recalls, quite a few more than once! Andiamo is a lovely boat and in excellent condition, sails all as described - I would happily recommend Andiamo and Eric to others and charter again. Also a massive thank you to you Abi and the LV team for all your excellent organisation – everything worked seamlessly and your efforts are much appreciated.
